The Spirit of Love in Holy Text

Updated: Apr 7, 2020

Hallelujah Trends is a non-denominational brand created as a vessel to spread the spirit of love across, continents, cultures, and religions. This post was included to remind everyone that they are included in all love.

Here are some of our favorite references to the spirit of love in holy text.

Any love that depends on a specific cause, when that cause is gone, the love is gone; but if it does not depend on a specific cause, it will never cease.

Pirkei Avot, 5:19

The Torah

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."

~ 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 The Bible

“God does not forbid you from being good to those who have not fought you in the religion or driven you from your homes, or from being just towards them. God loves those who are just.”

(Surat al-Mumtahana, 8)

The Quran

"Whatever happened was good, Whatever is happening is good, Whatever will happen will also be good."

The Bhagavad Gita “Your purpose in life is to find your purpose and give your whole heart and soul to it.”

– Buddha The Tripitaka

“To attract people naturally, effortlessly, we need only follow the true prompting of our hearts.”

I Ching 易經 Book of Changes

“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.”

Lao Tzu 道德经
